Vinayakan recently said that he didn't know what MeToo was and added that if asking a woman for sex is MeToo, then he will continue to do so. After facing the wrath of netizens, he issued an apology. The actor released a statement that reads, "Hi everyone. During the 'Oruthee' promotional event I used a certain language that one of the journalists (sister) found derogatory. It was not all targeted on a personal level and I sincerely apologize for the comments made by me on that day that would have caused her inconvenience. Vinayakan." Aamir Khan reveals he had decided to quit film industry during COVID-19 pandemic
In an interaction with ABP News, Aamir shared that he had decided to quit the Hindi film industry. The actor shared that he didn't announce his decision because he thought many might call it a 'marketing scheme' ahead of his film Laal Singh Chaddha's release. Raashii Khanna says she was rejected for being too pretty
Speaking to ETimes, Raashii shared, "Sometimes I have lost out on roles because people thought I was too pretty. There's a certain stereotype that has been created that you can either be a glamour doll or a great actor, you can't be both. Some people actually rejected me saying, 'No no, but you are too pretty for the role. We can't see you like this'. I am like, 'Take my audition and see if I can act!' They don't want to see beyond my looks, that's what I was facing in the South where people were not taking me seriously as an actor." Speaking to Times of India, Nargis shared, "Somewhere down the line, I realised that I was overworked and stressed. I missed my family and friends. I remember that 2016-2017 was a period of realisation for me. I felt that I wasn't doing things that made me happy. I did films back-to-back and thought there was just too much happening, and I needed to stop. I felt the need to pause to balance my mind and body. And that's when I took the step."
